This is a for dummies Being A Dik Mansion Repair Guide to the Mansion repair mini-game. I will walk you through every round and explain how everything works. This guide aims to improve upon former guides by featuring new strategies, more pictures and better explanations.
250K refers to the total points in your final Mansion score. It’s a fun challenge that requires making optimized decisions on each round to complete
Goals for this guide are to:
- Provide an in-depth explanation of the mechanics and the strategy
- Demonstrate a viable strategy for reaching 250,000+ points (a Steam Achievement)
- Maximize Mansion funds in case we need it in a future update
Disclaimer
This guide will use “save and reload” to get certain jobs on certain turns. Although getting the recommended job is NOT a requirement for reaching 250,000 points, it does help with buying Windows earlier and for any future expenses that the mansion might have in future updates.
Mechanics
Rounds
You get 9 rounds to earn $65 and buy windows. Not counting the tutorial round where you assign 3 groups of people to fix the Main Party Room.
Stats
- Each character has four skills: Cleaning, Repair, Work and Salvage.
- Skills can range from 5 to 100, the higher the better.
- Jobs will have stat requirements to be able to do them
- Room Repair tasks have stat requirements to fully complete them.
Format
This guide will refer to stat requirements in this format:
Cleaning/Repair/Work/Salvage
E.g. The MC currently has a statline of 36/36/30/36
E.g. This job that requires 20/30/60/35 needs 20 cleaning, 30 repair, 60 work and 35 salvage.
Note: Doing a Job will level up the Work stat (and nothing else) by 2% per man. So sending 3 guys will level up each person’s Work stat by 6%.
E.g. Room repairs are typically written as cleaning/repair/salvage because they don’t have a Work stat requirement.
Note: Doing Room Repair will level up Cleaning, Repair and Salvage but NOT Work by 2% per man. So assigning 2 guys to fix Stairway will level up each person’s Cleaning, Repair and Salvage by 4%
EXP
Experience points are basically unspent stat points. Even though the game displays EXP as a %, in reality it’s not a percentage. 1% EXP is the same as 1 EXP.
- Each point of EXP spent levels up the stat additively by one point.
E.g. If the MC has 30 Work, by putting 5% EXP into the MC’s Work stat will make it 35
- You can add EXP with left mouse button and subtract EXP with right mouse button
- Every 1000 points you get from doing Jobs and Room Repairs rewards you with 5 EXP points.
Jobs
Jobs can be found on the Job board.
To find the job board, you have to first finish allocating EXP to characters, then click Next (orange button on the top right).
Click the arrow button next to Assignment
Rewards & Requirements
Every job listing has a $ reward per worker and a skill/stat requirement.
$2 jobs are common and typically have lower stat requirements, like 20/20/20/20.
$3 jobs are uncommon and can have a wide range of stat requirements
Low end requirements: 20/40/50/20, 20/30/60/35
High end requirements: 50/10/80/15, 0/0/80/40, 90/20/20/20, 0/0/90/0, 0/0/90/20, 30/0/90/0, 10/90/40/20
$4 jobs are rare and can require up to two 90 point stats
Low end requirements: 0/0/90/20, 50/20/90/20, 70/30/90/30
High end requirements: 0/0/90/90, 10/90/90/15, 50/20/90/80
Note: Each person needs to meet the full stat requirements of the job to be able to do it. So investing EXP into Work on Round 1 won’t be enough to do $3 jobs.
The maximum $ reward for assigning 3 workers to each type of job is: $2 job = $6, $3 job = $9, $4 job = $12
How points are calculated
Completing a job always rewards you with:
1000 Base points + (Job) Bonus Points + Group Points
(Job) Bonus points are the sum of each character’s work stat x10.
E.g. If 3 guys with 80 work each were sent to do 1 job, then you’ll get:
3 x 80 x 10 = 2400 Bonus points
These bonus points are important because they are the biggest contributor to how much EXP for doing a job. Points are especially important in this guide to reach the 250K achievement
Group Points depend on how many people you send on one job.
- Sending 1: 100 Group points
- Sending 2: 400 Group points
- Sending 3: 900 Group points
The maximum point reward for a job is:
1000 Base points + 3000 Bonus Points + 900 Group Points = 4,900
Room Repair
There are a total of 23 rooms, across 3 floors. To finish in 8 rounds, we’d need to repair at least 3 rooms per round
Rewards & Requirements
Every room has a Cleaning/Work/Salvage requirement
Unlike Job requirements, Room Repair requirements DO NOT need to be met to assign people to do it. However, it is inefficient to assign people to repair a room and not finish in 1 turn because we’d be missing out on a 3500 point Completion Bonus, which means you’d get less EXP on the following turn.
How points are calculated
Room repair has BY FAR the highest point rewards, and also the best EXP
1000 Base points + (Repair) Bonus Points + Group Points + 3500 Completed Points
(Repair) Bonus Points are the sum of each of the person’s Cleaning, Repair and Salvage stats x10.
E.g. If we assign a Round 1 MC (41/41/30/41), Derek (26/36/20/36) and Rusty (26/21/20/26) to repair any room. Their Repair Bonus would be:
(41+41+41)x10 + (26+36+36)x10 + (26+21+26)x10 = 1230 + 980 + 730 = 2940
E.g. If we assign a Round 8 Nick (90/90/26/90), Leon (90/90/26/90), and Jaime (90/90/26/90) to repair any room. Their Repair bonus would be:
(90+90+90)x10 + (90+90+90)x10 + (90+90+90)x10 = 8100
- In other words, you get a much higher bonus for repairing rooms on later rounds than on earlier rounds. Rushing too many Room Repairs early on, will cost you in points in the long run. On the other hand, not going fast enough means you risk not being able to repair all the rooms in time.
- You DO NOT get a bigger bonus for doing a harder room, nor is there a bonus for exceeding the stats needed to completely fix the room
Group Points depend on how many people you send on one job. It works exactly in the same way as Jobs
- Sending 1: 100 Group points
- Sending 2: 400 Group points
- Sending 3: 900 Group points
The maximum point reward for a Room Repair is:
1000 Base points + 9000 Bonus Points + 900 Group Points + 3500 Completion Bonus = 14,400
Round 1 (Ep 6)
Starting Stats
Strategy
- We want to specialize 3 people in jobs. That way they will level up their work stat by 6% each round for more bonus points.
- We want to specialize 6 people on repair duty to fix 3 rooms per round. This will finish all repairs after Round 8. We don’t want to rush room repairs because we want to collect the big repair bonuses once we have higher stats
Work is the least valuable stat on Round 1 because we don’t have enough EXP to get 3 guys on a $3 job. The easiest $3 job requires a 20/40/50/20 stat line. So we just need 3 guys on a $2 job. For that, all we need is a 20/20/20/20 stat line. Luckily the MC, Derek and Rusty already meet that criteria, so everyone else is on Repair.
Job Team: MC, Derek and Rusty
Repair Team: Tommy, Jacob, John Boy, Nick, Leon, Jaime

Boost
Library Boost
At some point in Ep 6, you are studying in the library with Maya, Josy and Jill, you’ll eventually get to Free Roam. Go ↓ and ↓. Talk to Isabella. Go ↓, ← to reach the reception desk, go → to get to the book trolly. Click on the book trolley and you’ll need to find 5 misplaced books hidden in the shelves. Hover your mouse over the books on the shelves and when you see a white sparkle, you’ve found one. Find them all and you’ll get $2 added to the mansion funds
VIP Card Boost
If you win Hell Week, Rusty will give you a VIP card as a prize on your birthday. It doesn’t matter if you keep it or invest the money into the mansion. We’re guaranteed to have enough money either way. If you’re on a DIK path, keep it. If you’re on a CHICK path, invest it in the mansion to get $10 added to the mansion funds. If you follow this guide AND invest in the mansion, you’ll get some interesting dialogue right after Round 7 (Chapter 7). On my route I invested the money into the mansion.
Room Boost
During the Free roam in the DIK mansion you can clean one of 3 rooms to lower its requirements. For this strategy guide, the room you pick DOES NOT matter. The room can matter on routes where you want Rounds where you can allocate more people on Job duty. So you want to reserve a few rooms that can be completed by one character. That way you can fix the same number of rooms with fewer characters and have people left over to take on Jobs to make more money. Doing that will cause you to earn less Points. If you follow this guide, you’ll see an opportunity on Round 6.
Fast travel to Upper Main Room
Upper Area 2: 0/10/10 → 50/50/50. Best choice because it turns a 2 man job into an easy 1 man job. It’s very likely to get a 50/50/50 stat line on a character
(Area directly down from the Upper Main Room waypoint). Upper Area 3: 0/0/60 → 45/40/70. Decent choice because it turns a 2 man job into a 1 man job, but the character would need a 55/60/30 stat line
(Right Hallway waypoint). Right Hallway: 0/0/0 → 50/20/20. Worst choice because a character would need a 50/80/80 stat line to do solo. It’s the toughest statline of the three to reach

EXP Allocation
SAVE. Allocate the necessary EXP into the Repair Team
Allocate the remaining 93 EXP into the Job Team. Ideally, we want 90 work & 50 cleaning, so we’d be able to do two $4 jobs, but we don’t have enough EXP. We have 2 options: keep 90 work or 88 work. (More is explained in Jobs)
OR
Jobs
If we have 90 work, it’s possible for us to do one $4 job and three $3 jobs. In two rounds, we’ll have 100 work by gaining 6% and then 4%, from doing jobs.
- $4 job option: 0/0/90/20
- $3 job options: 20/40/50/20, 0/0/90/0, 0/0/90/20
If we have 88 work, we’d still only be able to do the 20/40/50/20 $3 job. In two rounds, we’ll also have 100 work but we’d have gained 6% and then 6%. So we’d have 6 EXP points more in the long run, but fewer good job options for this round.
- $3 job option: 20/40/50/20
I am picking 88 work, because the only way 90 work is better is if you get the rare 0/0/90/20 $4 job. Getting that can require A LOT of reloading and it does NOT give you more bonus points. 90 work does make it easier to find a viable $3 job. On the other hand, $3 jobs are more common, so I’d rather reload to get that, and have 6 more EXP. Send MC, Derek and Rusty to do it. If you can’t find one of these jobs, reload your save, allocate your EXP. Try again

Jobs
Now it’s possible for us to do three types of $4 jobs, so our odds of getting one are not bad. Keep reloading your save until we get a viable $4 job. Don’t forget to re-allocate EXP
- $4 job options: 0/0/90/20, 50/20/90/20, 70/30/90/30
Technically if we send 3 workers to only do $3 jobs ($9/round), we would make enough to reach $65 on Round 8. That’s true even if we kept the VIP card. That’s because the bonus money from working at the Retirement home & the Pink Rose makes it enough. Nevertheless, I still recommend taking the greedier option because we don’t know if we’ll need extra money in the Mansion’s coffers for future updates. So it’s better to have more than less.

EXP Allocation
Save. Assign 150 EXP.
Technically as long as you put all the EXP into the Repair Team’s Cleaning, Repair or Salvage and not exceed 82, you’re fine. Why 82? Because if we stick to 2 man pairs, in two rounds we’ll have 90 in all stats (apart from work), which is good if you want to solo repair rooms on Round 8.
Money Focus
Focusing EXP on 3 people like this also gives you the option to upgrade their stats to 90 by next round. For those of you who don’t care too much about points, you’d be able to solo 3 rooms next round and then 2 rooms the round after that to finish off the whole mansion. This frees up the other members to do Jobs to make more money.
250K Points Focus
For the 250K strategy, we’re going to be keeping as many people on repair all the way through Round 8. We just need the stats to boost our repair bonuses. So as long as we leave some room for passive stat growth, we’re fine.
Repair Assignment
Jobs
Look for a $4 job. Keep reloading your save, until we get a viable one. Don’t forget to buy windows, and re-allocate EXP
- $4 job options: 0/0/90/20, 50/20/90/20, 70/30/90/30
Room Repair
Tommy’s Room BF (0/0/0): Tommy, Nick (114/108/108)
Upper Area 3 2F (0/0/60): Jacob, Leon (136/136/134)
Bathroom 1F (0/0/50): John Boy, Jaime (152/162/164)
Round 7
Results
If you bought windows on Round 6, you’ll have an interesting conversation at the table after this round. Pay attention to the dialogue at the table and then Tommy’s dialogue in Episode 8 when he’s with Rusty. I don’t think the game really expects you to have bought the windows already.

Repair Assignment
If we fix 2 rooms per round, by assigning 3 people to fix each room would score us more Group points per round and it would grow all our repair stats by 6 EXP per round. It would mean that we’re repairing on Rounds 7-9. This line would score us more points.
Alternatively, we can assign 3 teams of two to finish 3 rooms now, and then 2 teams of three to finish the remaining 2 rooms next round. On Round 9, we’d have everyone available to do jobs. This line earns us more money. Fortunately, it’s also enough to reach 250K points. So this is the line we’re taking.

Jobs
We ideally want one $4 job and two $3 jobs. One $4 job, one $3 job and a $2 job is not bad either. Keep reloading your save, until we get what we want. Don’t forget to re-allocate EXP and buy windows if you forgot last round.

Mansion Funds
On the following turn we’re expected to earn:
$73 = $37 last round’s funds + $12 job + $9 job +$9 job + $6 Retirement home & Pink Rose

Conclusion
Congratulations on reaching 252K with $73 in hand. I hope you found this guide to be helpful and easy to understand. There are probably still improvements that can be made, but I’m happy with how this strategy played out. If you have any questions or feedback for me, you can start a conversation with me on F95zone.
Oh, and what happens if you don’t buy windows? Don’t know, never tried it.
