FAQs – Pokémon ‘H’ Version Walkthrough & Guide

The following points are some of the more commonly asked questions. If you have a question that is not covered in this document, feel free to join the discord and ask there.

  • Random lag spikes throughout the game.

Here is a direct quote from the dev regarding this issue:

Those are all pc issues. What happens is that those specific tiles are the game’s triggers to load the map of the next area.

So the game slows down or hangs in order to load the area.

Whether your RIG is op or not doesn’t matter, its all about the memory space allocated to the OpenGL driver on your comp.

My 5 year old Lenovo legion laptop runs all areas with no lags even when loading Eclipse City, that means the problem lies with the driver, not the computer used.

Therefore, try looking into updating your drivers to make the game run smoother. I myself have lags spikes which, maybe, take a fraction of a second. So the problem does not only lie with the game.

  • Multiple save files?

The game now has multiple save files. When you start the game and choose a save to load, be careful that you do not accidentally load an autosave. They will almost always be shown first. To find your own save file tap the arrow buttons to select the save file that you want to use.

  • Where are the save files located?

The save files for the game can be located in C:users/User Name/AppData/Roaming/Pokemon ‘H’ Version.

Please note that the AppData folder may be hidden by your OS. Google how to make these files visible for your Operating System.

  • I have this problem with using JoiPlay and….

I am going to stop you right there chief. Pokémon ‘H’ Version will only be supported for Windows. We do not give technical support for any other version you wish to play it on.

However, If you must use JoiPlay, the version downloaded from their Patreon does seem to work best. It fixes the 004 errors that the outdated Playstore version seems to get.

  • Can X pokemon be added to the game?

Depends on the voting polls on patreon. Whichever pokemon wins will be included while the losers will go to the next round, with a new option replacing the winner, so on and so forth.

If you wish to participate in the waifumon voting polls, Join the $3 Patreon tier.

  • What generation of pokemon will we get in this game?

Pokemon ‘H’ Version will include pokemon up to Gen 8.

In addition, there will be a slew of ‘Fakemon’ and existing pokemon with altered looks.

  • Is there a release date for updates?

No. There is no official release date between updates.

  • How do I change the in game controls?

Press F1 in game to change the controls.

  • Will saves carry over?

Yes, saves will carry over between updates.

Some Waifumon have an event line. This is written down as Event <Nr>. You can’t do an event without having done the previous one. So for example you can’t do Lopunny Event 2 without having done Lopunny Event 1. Events and scenes that are not numbered are stand alone events and scenes that can be experienced outside of the main Event line.

Everything marked red in the guide is new content added in the newest update.

Enjoy the game!
